Job summary

Meadowview Behavioral Hospital is hiring Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) to join our treatment team. You will provide ongoing care, supervision, and positive role modeling under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, helping to create a therapeutic environment for diverse patients.

Responsibilities include recording vital signs, following interventions, leading small groups, and assisting with discharge planning while maintaining safety and universal precautions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA/NAR may be required.
• One year of related psychiatric patient care experience preferred.
• CPR certification and crisis intervention training within 10 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and report changes to RN.
• Follow treatment interventions and assist with development of care plans.
• Lead MHT-initiated groups and use CPI techniques when needed.
• Assist patients through discharge and support life adjustments.
• Assist with hygiene and daily living activities; respond to patient care priorities.
• Assist with hospital codes and maintain a safe environment.
