Ridgeview Institute Monroe is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join our treatment team in Georgia. Under RN supervision, you will provide continuous care, supervision, and positive role modeling for patients across age groups, from adolescents to geriatrics, fostering a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities include recording vital signs, reporting changes to the RN, following treatment interventions, leading MHT-led groups, and assisting with discharge planning while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA/NAR certification required.
• One year of related experience preferred; knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques.
• CPR certification and crisis intervention training within 10 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record vital signs.
• Report changes to the RN.
• Follow therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team.
• Lead MHT-led groups and use CPI techniques.
• Assist patients through discharge and adjusting to life changes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, therapeutic environment and follow universal precautions.
