Windsor Laurelwood Center for Behavioral Medicine in Willoughby, OH seeks a Mental Health Technician to join our multidisciplinary team. This full-time role offers day, evening or overnight shifts with weekend requirements and shift differentials.

You will support patients across ages in a psychiatric setting and contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; related field degree preferred; prior mental health or substance abuse experience

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• College student pursuing degree in behavioral health, psychology, nursing or human services preferred.
• Previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility is strongly preferred.
• STNA license also preferred.

Mansioni

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
• Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment
• Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors
• Assist with patient groups and activities
• Work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet their individual needs
• Provide trauma informed and age-specific care
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques
