Job summary

Windsor Laurelwood Center for Behavioral Health in Kentucky is hiring a Mental Health Technician to join its treatment team. This full-time role offers day, evening, or overnight shifts with every-other-weekend work and a shift differential for evening, night, and weekend hours.

You will help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment, provide routine patient care in a psychiatric setting, document behavioral changes, assist with groups, and work with diverse populations under the guidance of

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• College student pursuing a degree in behavioral health, psychology, nursing or human services is preferred.
• Previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric setting.
• Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors.
• Assist with patient groups and activities.
• Work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet individual needs.
• Provide trauma informed and age-specific care.
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques.
