Qualifications

Key Responsibilities include: Demonstrate competency in the criteria listed below. Staff must be flexible for reassignment to units providing care to varied client populations.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field highly preferred; high school diploma required.
• One-year experience working with a psychiatric client population preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships, age-specific growth and development, limit setting, behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors, verbal de-escalation, Handle with Care, and CPR training.
• Knowledge of effective teaching skills and educational strategies with a special education population, individual and group management skills, therapeutic relationships, and processes.
