The Mental Health Technician (MHT) at Compass Intervention Center, a 108-bed inpatient behavioral health facility located in Memphis, TN, is responsible for providing compassionate care to patients across the continuum of behavioral health services. The role involves supporting patient well-being, ensuring safety, and assisting in therapeutic activities.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field highly preferred; high school diploma required.
• One-year experience working with psychiatric clients preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships, age-specific development, limit setting, behavior and crisis management, verbal de-escalation, Handle with Care, and CPR training.
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to various units serving different client populations.
