Dungarvin is hiring a Mental Health Specialist (MHS I) to provide direct, person-centered support to individuals with behavioral and mental health needs in a team-based environment. You will work with individuals living with developmental or medical needs, following plans and safety protocols, and documenting progress.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience providing mental or behavioral health services.
• Must be 18+; some programs require 21+.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic documentation systems.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct support to individuals with behavioral and mental health needs using person-centered approaches.
• Follow behavior support plans, treatment plans, crisis-prevention strategies, and de-escalation techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment and assist with daily living skills and activities.
• Document services and observations using electronic systems (T-logs, Therap, health tracking).
• Monitor behavior changes and communicate with supervisors during crises or safety situations.
• Assist with appointments and medication administration tasks as allowed.
• Provide feedback and model professional behavior.
• Maintain home safety and follow emergency procedures.
