Dungarvin inc is hiring a Mental Health Specialist (MHS I) to provide direct support to individuals with behavioral and mental health needs. The role emphasizes person-centered approaches, documentation, and crisis response in a structured living environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years' experience providing mental or behavioral health services.
• Must be at least 18 years old (21 in some programs).
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with behavioral and mental health needs using person-centered approaches.
• Support individuals according to behavior and treatment plans and crisis-prevention strategies.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment and assist with daily living tasks.
• Document services, observations, health concerns, and activities in electronic systems.
• Monitor changes, identify escalation indicators, and communicate with supervisors during crisis.
• Support families, assist with appointments and, where allowed, medication administration.
• Provide feedback on individuals’ needs while modeling professional behavior.
• Maintain home safety and follow emergency procedures.
