Dungarvin is hiring a Mental Health Specialist (MHS I) in Minnesota to provide direct support to individuals with behavioral and mental health needs using person-centered approaches. The role includes crisis-prevention, documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The position offers a fixed starting rate of $20.00/hr, full-time schedules, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth and training within a national provider of support services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years' experience providing mental or behavioral health services.
• Must be at least 18 years of age; some programs require 21+.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with behavioral and mental health needs, using person-centered approaches.
• Support individuals per behavior support plans and crisis-prevention strategies.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment and assist with daily living skills and transportation.
• Accurately document services and observations using electronic systems.
• Monitor behavioral changes and communicate with supervisors during crises.
• Support family and personal contacts and assist with appointments and medication tasks.
• Provide feedback on individuals’ needs and maintain professional conduct.
• Maintain home safety and follow emergency procedures.
