The role requires Master’s in nursing, Texas RN licensure, and clinical nursing experience; PhD preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing required; PhD in a field appropriate to the teaching profession preferred.
• Texas RN licensure or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience working in a clinical setting.
• Excellent communication skills with initiative and prudent judgment.
• Technological expertise with learning management systems, simulation equipment, and online platforms, increasingly ability to work with AI.
• Ability to create engaging learning environments and exhibit strong conflict management skills.
• Collaborating across faculty, Extended Service Team, and clinical partners.
• Emotional and social intelligence to recognize student needs and create an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned nursing courses in classroom, online, and clinical settings, using technology and evidence-based methods.
• Provide input to and implement course curriculum and teaching materials.
• Evaluate student performance and provide remediation as needed.
• Lead clinical learning experiences or partner with faculty leading labs to ensure students are practice-ready.
• Contribute to Chamberlain’s community through professional service and scholarship.
• Mentor students and new faculty and engage in scholarly activities related to teaching and nursing practice.
• Maintain current teaching skills and stay updated with policies and licensure requirements.
