Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, NJ seeks a Mental Health Assistant to join our nursing team. You will provide patient care, assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, and support de-escalation under the direction of the RN.

Qualifications

• Heart Saver/CPR certification required.
• Nursing Attendant test may be required.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for OPS.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Computer literate and able to use hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Take and record vitals; report deviations to RN.
• Assist with patient transport and ADLs.
• Assist in monitoring patient condition and de-escalation.
• Maintain unit cleanliness and supply readiness.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
