Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Health or higher in related field, or a non-Behavioral Health degree with at least 1 year of behavioral health experience.
• Maintain information as highly confidential.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and seek supervision.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates didactic, educational and unit/program community groups within the assigned treatment programs.
• Encourages and facilitates patients’ participation in therapeutic activities.
• Supervises patients to ensure their safety and involvement in treatment.
• Provides one-to-one supervision to ensure patient safety.
• Conducts unit rounds and completes precautions records in real time.
• Ensures accurate labeling of precautions records.
• Orients new patients to unit, program, and milieu and introduces families.
• Delivers appropriate handoff information when borders are accepted from other units.
• Participates in treatment planning with interdisciplinary team and contributes to discharge planning.
• Completes patient, program, and department documentation.
• Performs clerical and administrative tasks to support operations.
• Monitors and reports patient progress to charge person and families.
