2300 Naperville Psychiatric Ventures D/B/A Linden Oaks Hospital aims to hire a Mental Health Associate I to provide direct patient care to individuals with mental health disorders. The role involves treatment planning, facilitating groups, and ensuring a safe environment with thorough documentation.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health (or related field with BH experience) and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health required or related field with 1 year behavioral health experience
• Maintain information as highly confidential and professional boundaries; willingness to seek supervision
• CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) required, CPI training within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Facilitate didactic, educational and unit/program groups.
• Encourage and facilitate patient participation in therapeutic activities.
• Supervise patients to ensure safety and involvement in treatment.
• Provide one-to-one supervision to maintain patient safety.
• Conduct unit rounds and complete precautions records in real time.
• Accurately label precautions records.
• Orient new patients to unit and milieu and introduce caregivers.
• Hand off information when accepting borders from other units.
• Contribute to treatment planning with interdisciplinary team and discharge planning.
• Complete patient, program, and department documentation.
• Perform clerical and administrative tasks to support department operations.
• Monitor and report patient progress to shift charge and families.
