Navy Exchange Service Command (NEX) Norfolk is seeking a Sales Associate for Men’s Accessories. You will be the face of our brand, guiding customers and helping them recognize our products and services. You will learn product features and provide knowledgeable, courteous service to build trust and loyalty.

The role emphasizes customer engagement, inventory accuracy, and POS transactions, with flexibility for various hours including some weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to multi-task while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage and connect with customers.
• Cross-selling products and knowing the store layout.
• Process sales and handle cash, discounts, gift cards and card payments.
• Maintain store appearance and inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to assigned work schedule and complete duties as assigned.
