Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine in New York’s Upper East Side is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Memory Disorders to provide direct patient care and coordinate services within the Memory Disorders unit.

You will assess patients, order tests, educate families, document care, and collaborate with physicians; teaching and mentorship through institutional training programs may be available.

Qualifications

• Master's of Science Degree in Nursing.
• Approximately 2+ years of clinical NP experience in a physician practice or hospital setting.
• Preference for clinical teaching, precepting, or academic program involvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on outpatient and/or inpatient service.
• Evaluate new and established patients via health histories and examinations.
• Order labs, imaging, diagnostics, and consultations; develop patient care plans.
• Perform therapies and diagnostics as trained; document in medical records.
• Counsel patients and families on disease management, prevention and health promotion.
• Confer with specialists and care team to optimize outcomes.
• Participate in performance improvement and educational activities.
• Assist in research protocol preparation and evaluation when applicable.
