Job summary

Vivo Healthcare Gateway is seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead the Memory Care Unit in a 120-bed skilled nursing facility. The Nurse Unit Manager oversees daily clinical operations, ensures high-quality resident care, supervises nursing staff, and maintains regulatory compliance.

This leadership role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and a passion for caring for residents with dementia.

Qualifications

• Active LPN/RN license in Florida.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Experience with dementia or memory care strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Memory Care unit in collaboration with the Director of Nursing.
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Ensure quality resident care in accordance with facility policies and state/federal regulations.
• Monitor and evaluate resident care plans and clinical outcomes.
• Conduct clinical rounds and respond to resident/family concerns.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care planning.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality assurance and infection control initiatives.
