Job summary

Priority Life Care is seeking a Memory Care Coordinator to oversee the Memory Care Unit, ensuring quality resident care, compliance with policies, and collaboration with the Director of Nursing.

You will hire, train, supervise staff across shifts, manage care plans, and support a respectful, compassionate environment with opportunities for career advancement and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelor’s degree a plus.
• LPN certification strongly preferred; Medication Tech Certification required or equivalent.
• Experience with Alzheimer’s/dementia care and gerontological caregiving recommended.
• CDP preferred; driving a large resident vehicle may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operation of the Memory Care Unit in accordance with resident needs, regulations and policies.
• Hire, train, develop, evaluate and supervise memory care staff across all shifts; schedule and problem solve.
• Oversee staff performance, conduct in-service training, and collaborate with the DON and Director of Nursing.
• Ensure memory care follows policies, maintains care plans, and delivers appropriate medications and treatments.
• Promote resident independence, coordinate with management to address complaints and safety standards.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree

LPN certification

Medication Tech Certification

Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) preferred

2-3 years gerontological and care-giving experience

Clean driving record
