Owen Valley Rehabilitation & Nursing in Spencer, Indiana is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care and oversee nursing assistants. You will admit, discharge, and supervise residents, while ensuring accurate charting and adherence to regulatory standards.

Proficiency in English, a current Indiana license, CPR certification, and LTC experience are preferred as you contribute to a high-quality care environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current unencumbered RN or LPN license in Indiana.
• Strong command of English (read, write, speak).
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, laws and facility guidelines.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents; provide shift leadership.
• Complete and file charting and orders; transcribe physician orders.
• Maintain nursing notes and incident reports per policies.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Foster inter-departmental rapport and a calm unit environment.
• Conduct rounds with physicians and supervise nursing staff.
