Owen Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Indiana seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Care will be delivered in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations as required by the Director of Nursing.

• Licensed Practical Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledge of nursing & medical practices & procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
• Current CPR Certification is required
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants.
• Plan shift services, programs and activities; provide written & oral reports as required.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel on the unit/shift.
• Complete and file required charting and forms.
• Receive & transcribe orders from physicians and record on Physician’s Order Form.
• Chart nurse’s notes reflecting care provided and resident response.
• Administer medications as ordered by physicians.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of resident information.
• Ensure safety with equipment and supplies.
