Job summary

Owen Valley Rehabilitation & Nursing is seeking an experienced LPN/RN to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities. You will ensure care meets federal, state, and local standards and report to the Director of Nursing as needed.

In this role you’ll lead nursing staff, document care activities, administer medications, and collaborate with inter-department teams to maintain a warm, safe, and professional care environment for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with active state license.
• CPR certification is required.
• English language proficiency required for communication.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and plan the shift.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required; supervise staff.
• Complete and file charts; transcribe orders and document care.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physician.
• Maintain good rapport with inter-department staff and residents.
• Provide IV care and monitor safety with equipment and supplies.
• Ensure confidentiality and privacy of resident information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
