Job summary

Brookdale in Virginia Beach is seeking a Clare Bridge Program Assistant to support person-centered dementia programs and engage residents in meaningful activities that enhance quality of life. You will work with the Program Manager to implement a calendar of daily and special programming across the community.

The role emphasizes teamwork, sensitivity to residents’ needs, and compliance with Brookdale standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience with older adults and/or dementia preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Clare Bridge Program Manager or Coordinator in leading person-centered dementia programs.
• Help maintain a calendar of activities that meet residents' needs and preferences.
• Support review of individual service plans and document program activity per Brookdale standards.
• Ensure programs comply with state and federal regulations and Brookdale policies.
• Coordinate and participate in community events and family open houses.
• Provide guidance and resources to associates on programming and resident quality of life.
