Job summary

Avamere is seeking a dedicated Medication Tech in Bend, OR to administer medications and provide direct care to residents in a memory care setting. You will work under supervision, ensuring accurate dosing and timely administration while maintaining detailed records in the resident’s EMR.

The role requires compassion, reliability, and teamwork; CPR/First Aid certification and a Food Handler’s Card are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver and Medication Tech in memory care or assisted living settings.
• Must have CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to physician orders and facility policy.
• Administer medications accurately and timely.
• Record medications in the resident’s EMR.
• Notify pharmacy or family when refills are needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart/room.
• Monitor and report medication side effects to health staff.
• Follow care plans for medication administration.
• Assist with medical appointments and communicate with providers.
• Observe residents for health changes and report concerns.
