Job summary

Avamere at Hermiston in Hermiston, OR is seeking a full-time Medication Tech to administer medications and provide direct care to residents. Swing shift, 2pm-10pm, 4 days on/2 days off with a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities include med administration, documentation, and coordinating with nursing staff. Ideal candidates have caregiver/med tech experience in memory care or assisted living, CPR/First Aid certification, and familiarity with electronic medical records.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver and Medication Tech in a Memory Care Unit or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Experience with electronic medical records documentation.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to physician orders under RN supervision.
• Administer medications accurately and timely.
• Record medications in the resident’s record.
• Notify pharmacy for refills and maintain cart/room.
• Monitor and report medication side effects to Health Services.
• Follow care plans based on resident needs and assessments.
• Assist with medical appointments and communicate with providers.
