Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living in Keizer, OR is hiring a Medication Tech to provide direct care and administer medications to residents. The role supports memory care residents and requires collaboration with nursing staff and families.

This full-time position involves evening shifts (Thu-Mon). Candidates should have caregiver/Memory Care experience, CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain, and EMR documentation skills, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience as a caregiver and medication tech in memory care or assisted living.
• Ability to obtain/maintain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Ability to obtain Food Handler's Card.
• Experience documenting in electronic medical records.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications per physician orders and facility policy.
• Administer medications accurately and timely.
• Record medications in residents' records.
• Notify pharmacy or families when medications need refilling.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and room.
• Monitor and report side effects to the Director of Health Services.
• Follow care plans for medication administration.
• Assist with medical appointments and communicate with providers.
• Observe residents for health changes and monitor vital signs.
• Document changes in the EMR.
• Complete incident reports promptly.
• Perform delegated nursing tasks as assigned by the RN.
• Participate in in-service education.
• Report changes promptly to the Director of Health Services.
• Follow directions and work professionally.
• Ensure resident safety and collaborate with staff and families.
