Job summary

Avamere at Newberg is seeking a Med Tech for Memory Care on a part-time basis. The role requires administering medications and providing direct resident care during the NOC shift (10pm-6am) with weekend availability as needed.

You will pass meds under RN supervision, document in EMR, maintain the med cart, and monitor residents for changes while coordinating with nursing and medical teams. Enjoy benefits and a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver and Medication Tech in Memory Care Unit or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must have ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• A genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to physician orders, delegated by and under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in accordance with facility policy.
• Administer accurately and timely.
• Record medications administered in the resident’s record.
• Notify the pharmacy when medications need to be refilled.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and medication room.
• Monitor and report any side effects of medications to the Director of Health Services.
• Record information related to medication administration to update orders.
• Follow care plans related to medication administration and assessments.
