Job summary

Avamere at Bethany in Portland is seeking a Med Tech-Memory Care for a day shift, Saturdays, part-time. The role focuses on administering medications and providing direct care to residents in a memory care setting.

You will pass meds under RN supervision, document in EMR, monitor for side effects, assist with appointments, and maintain a clean, organized medication area to ensure safety and comfort for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver and Medication Tech in Memory Care/Assisted Living.
• Active CPR/First Aid certification.
• Food Handler's Card.
• Experience with electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, professional demeanor with residents.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to physician orders under supervision.
• Administer medications accurately and timely.
• Record medications in the resident's EMR.
• Monitor and report side effects to the Director of Health Services.
• Assist with medical appointments and advocate for residents.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart/room.
• Follow care plans and document status changes.
• Communicate with healthcare providers and families as needed.
• Participate in in-service education and report changes promptly.
• Ensure resident safety and confidentiality.
