Job summary

Sage Mountain Senior Living, an Agemark Senior Living community, in Thousand Oaks, CA, is seeking a compassionate Memory Care Manager to lead the memory care team and support residents living with cognitive challenges. You will oversee care plans, coach staff, and collaborate with families to deliver personalized, high-quality care using the Best Friends™ Approach to Alzheimer’s care.

This role offers opportunities to mentor staff, manage operations, and promote a safe, engaging memory care

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Geriatrics, Elder Care, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Two or more years of related experience preferred, including proven leadership and supervisory skills.
• Knowledge: Understanding of facility licensure regulations, OSHA standards, and safety procedures.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to coach, motivate, and support a team while creating a positive work environment.
• Communication: Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Heart for Seniors: A warm, approachable personality with a passion for seniors and memory care.
• Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and provide additional support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead with Heart: Recruit, train, coach, and mentor your team while creating an environment built on trust, compassion, and respect.
• Inspire & Develop Your Team: Provide coaching, recognition, and professional development to help team members grow and succeed.
• Deliver Exceptional Care: Collaborate with families, providers, and team members to ensure residents receive personalized, high-quality support using the Best Friends™ Approach to Alzheimer’s care.
• Ensure Safety & Compliance: Oversee care plans, safety protocols, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Engage & Connect: Build strong relationships with residents, families, and the community through meaningful interactions, programs, and events.
• Support Operations: Manage departmental needs and budgets, assist with marketing and outreach, and help keep the memory care neighborhood welcoming, safe, and organized.
