Job summary

Community Spokane Memory Care at South Hill is seeking a Full-Time Life Enrichment Assistant to plan and lead daily activities for residents, make announcements, and promote participation. You will help decorate, organize events, and maintain records while ensuring a safe, respectful environment.

The role requires a high school diploma and 6 months to 1 year of geriatric activity experience, plus CPR/First Aid certifications if not current.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; CPR and First Aid certifications may be required.
• Experience: 6 months to 1 year in geriatric recreational and social activities.
• Must meet state health, licensure/certification, and background requirements.
• Communication skills: effective in person, phone, or email.
• Organizational/self-management: manage multiple tasks with interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with group activities throughout the day.
• Make daily announcements to residents and adapt to schedule changes.
• Promote resident participation in activities.
• Create a welcoming environment for guests and residents.
• Organize special activities and decorate common areas.
• Maintain records and keep storage areas clean and organized.
• Notify supervisor of changes in resident behavior.
• Attend mandatory meetings and maintain confidentiality.
• Adhere to fire and disaster plans and safety procedures.
