Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a Memory Care Coordinator to manage all facets of service for residents in our Memory Care Community. You will hire, train, supervise, and schedule caregivers and med techs, monitor care needs, and liaise with families and community providers.

The role requires genuine interest in residents with dementia, patience, and adherence to federal/state regulations and company policies. A strong focus on teamwork and core values is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of health-related experience including caring for people with dementia or supervisory/management experience.
• Knowledge of dementia care procedures and negotiated care plans.
• Must read and interpret safety rules and maintain clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage staffing by interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling caregivers and med techs.
• Monitor resident care needs and escalate changes to Wellness Director.
• Coordinate move-in assessments and develop/maintain negotiated service plans.
• Administer medications according to procedure and document reactions.
• Ensure infection control guidelines are followed and incident reports are completed.
