Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Lifestyle Coordinator (Activity Assistant) to plan and deliver meaningful programs for residents with Alzheimer's and dementia. The role focuses on enriching quality of life through social engagement, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being.

The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, and skilled in memory care, with experience in leading life enrichment activities and working with seniors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Dementia Practitioner or Montessori training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group and one-on-one programs tailored to residents' cognitive abilities and interests.
• Develop and conduct daily activities for memory care residents, including music therapy, sensory activities, and reminiscence projects.
• Modify activities to ensure inclusivity for all participants.
• Coordinate activities with care plans alongside the care team.
• Plan and execute special memory care events and seasonal activities.
• Encourage resident participation and document outcomes when required.
• Review goals and progress notes with the team.
