Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Lifestyle Coordinator (Activity Assistant) in Tigard, OR to plan and deliver meaningful programs for residents with Alzheimer's and dementia. You will create engaging activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well‑being, working closely with the care team.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of senior care experience, strong communication, and patience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Dementia Practitioner or Montessori training is a plus.
• 1–2 years of experience with seniors, preferably leading life enrichment activities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group and one-on-one programs aligned with residents' cognitive abilities and interests.
• Develop and conduct daily activities for memory care residents, including music therapy and reminiscence activities.
• Adapt activities to ensure inclusivity and success for all participants.
• Collaborate with care team to align activities with care plans.
• Plan and execute memory care events and seasonal activities.
• Encourage resident participation and document outcomes as required.
• Review goals and progress notes to tailor activities.
• Support caregiving during meals and breaks.
• Assist Resident Lifestyle Director and Memory Care Director as needed.
