Job summary

Ativo Albuquerque is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator to implement a variety of activities enhancing the social, mental, and physical well-being of Memory Care residents.

You will develop individualized engagement plans, organize calming events, and collaborate with staff to address dementia-related needs while maintaining detailed participation records and ensuring safe activity spaces.

Qualifications

• Understand dementia progression to tailor activities.
• Develop engaging therapeutic programs for residents.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Implement activities aimed at memory stimulation and cognitive/physical function.
• Create individualized engagement plans based on resident interests and history.
• Organize small, calming events for memory care residents.
• Collaborate with staff to address behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia.
• Provide training to staff and volunteers on engagement strategies.
