Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Memory Care Director for a premier senior living community. The role leads a dementia-care program, ensuring resident independence and engagement while partnering with families and healthcare professionals.

You will recruit, train, and supervise memory care staff and coordinate services to deliver high-quality care on a safe campus. The position emphasizes a Whole Living approach, collaboration with health services, and a commitment to dignity and meaningful

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Prefer two (2) years of experience working with persons with dementia.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience supervising and managing employees.
• Residential Care Facility for the Elderly administrators’ license may be required.
• Hold or obtain certifications related to dementia care (CDP, CAC, CAE, CDCM, Montessori, or equivalents).
• Able to obtain and maintain first aid and CPR certification.
• Able to obtain and maintain a Food Handler’s certification.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (physical and TB).
• Vaccination/ daily screening may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for all team members, residents, and guests.
• Ensures compliance with state regulations concerning memory care (Title 22).
• Manages recruitment for memory care positions, conducts interviews, hires, onboards, trains, motivates, and retains staff.
• Coordinates departmental schedule to ensure adequate staffing.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Supports resident participation in activities and ensures an engaging activities program.
• Collaborates with Culinary team to meet nutrition needs and dining quality.
• Provides input to Health Services Director on pre-admission assessments and reassessments.
• Coordinates incidental medical, dental, vision, hearing, and podiatry care; arranges escorts as needed.
• Partners with community healthcare professionals on resident care needs as needed.

Education

BA/BS Gerontology or related field
