Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Memory Care Director for the San Ramon community. This role leads the Traditions memory care neighborhood, partnering with culinary, activities, and health services to deliver personalized dementia care and maximize resident independence.

Responsibilities include recruiting and developing staff, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, coordinating care plans, and supporting dining and activity programs to meet resident needs and family expectations.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Prefer two (2) years of experience working with persons with dementia and one (1) year supervising and managing employees.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in gerontology, psychology, sociology, or related field; or at least 3 years in social services or residential care.
• Residential Care Facility for the Elderly administrator license may be required.
• Certifications in dementia care (CDP, CAC, CAE, CDCM, Montessori Dementia Care) or equivalents.
• First aid and CPR certification; Food Handler’s certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Traditions memory care neighborhood and ensure dementia care delivery exceeds expectations.
• Coordinate care plans with health services, culinary, and activities teams.
• Lead recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and retention of memory care staff.
• Ensure staffing levels meet organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support resident participation in activities and dining, ensuring nutrition needs are met.
• Collaborate with physicians, discharge planners, nurses, and state agencies on resident needs.
