Job summary

Oakmont Valencia, part of Oakmont Management Group, seeks a Memory Care Director/LVN to lead dementia care with a holistic approach, partnering with residents to maximize independence and quality of life. Manage staffing and regulatory compliance across the memory care department.

The role emphasizes a resident-centered program, coordinating activities, dining, and health services while engaging with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure compassionate, dignified care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Prefer 2 years of experience working with persons with dementia.
• Prefer 1 year of experience supervising and managing employees.
• Residential Care Facility for the Elderly administrator license may be required.
• Hold or able to obtain one or more dementia certifications (e.g., CDP, CAC, CAE, CDCM).
• First aid/CPR and Food Handler certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Understand and comply with state regulations for memory care (Title 22).
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, motivate and retain memory care staff.
• Coordinate departmental staffing to meet resident needs and company standards.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Support resident participation in activities and dining, coordinating with Culinary team.
