Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Alexandria seeks a Mind & Memory Director to oversee the Memory Care program, recruit and train staff, manage schedules and budgets, and drive innovative care practices for residents with cognitive impairment. The role partners with the Resident Care Director to ensure services align with the resident service plan.

Ideal candidates bring at least 3 years memory care experience, a BA/BS in a health science field, and dementia care certification or equivalent training,

Qualifications

• 3+ years memory care experience.
• Advanced knowledge of dementia disease process and progression.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach staff to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, coaching, recognition, engagement and performance evaluations for Harbor Resident Care Associates.
• Maintain homelike environment with opportunities for residents to engage with activities.
• Support delivery of high-quality resident services ensuring satisfaction of residents, families and staff.
• Schedule staff for 24/7 memory care services within budgeted labor hours.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, train and develop care staff; partner with Resident Care Director.
