Experience Senior Living seeks a Director of Memory Care to lead a dedicated dementia-focused team on site in Florida. The role drives daily programming, supervises care partners, nurses, and staff, and partners with Health and Wellness leaders to maintain high-quality care and compliance.

A strong background in dementia care and team leadership is required. The position emphasizes program development, staff training, budget oversight, and engagement with residents, families, and referral

Formación

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred such as gerontology, social services, behavioral health, therapeutic recreation and/or nursing.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in caring for people with dementia or cognitive challenges, and in developing and facilitating activity programs, preferably as a manager with a specialized dementia program.
• LPN experience a plus.
• Knowledgeable about the disease process, the changes associated with dementia illnesses, how they affect the individual’s ability to communicate, process information and function.
• Experience in facilitating family and caregiver support programs.
• Experience performing budget analysis, review, and control
• Experience conducting trainings / presentations
• Experience supervising team members, holding performance conversations, and completing performance reviews.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a safe and vibrant environment for residents with dementia or cognitive challenges, team members, and visitors.
• Supervise Memory Care team members including scheduling, delegation, performance discussions, onboarding, and training.
• Develop, plan, and organize daily enriching programs for Memory Care around the Memorable Moments calendar.
• Ensure onboarding and required training for Memory Care staff within specified timeframes.
• Lead and model Experience Senior Living’s philosophy of care to staff and families.
• Prepare and conduct monthly dementia in-service and maintain attendance records.
• Oversee budget compliance for the department and participate in census-building efforts.
• Collaborate with Health and Wellness leaders on medication administration and team scheduling.
• Provide ongoing training and orientation to new and current team members.
• Build relationships with residents, families, referral partners, and the executive team.
