Job summary

Oakmont Management Group's Memory Care Director leads a 'Whole living' approach to dementia care, partnering with residents to care 'with them' to maximize independence and well-being while ensuring personalized care plans and regulatory compliance.

The role oversees the Traditions memory care neighborhood, coordinating care, activities, and dining, and collaborating with health services, culinary, and community leaders to deliver meaningful, dignified experiences.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Prefer two (2) years of experience working with persons with dementia.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience supervising and managing employees.
• Bachelor's degree in Gerontology/psychology/sociology or 3+ years in related care settings.
• Dementia care certifications (CDP/CAC/CAE/CDCM) preferred.
• Able to obtain and maintain first aid and CPR certification.
• Able to obtain and maintain a Food Handler’s certification.
• Criminal background check and health screening including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for all team members, residents, and guests.
• Ensures compliance with state regulations concerning memory care.
• Oversees recruitment for memory care positions; interviews, hires, onboards, trains.
• Coordinates scheduling to ensure adequate staffing per standards.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, visitors, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Supports resident participation in activities and dining.
• Provides input on memory care resident assessments and reassessments.
• Assists in coordinating incidental medical, dental, vision, and podiatry care.
• Partners with healthcare professionals on resident care needs.
