Job summary

Oakmont Management Group, headquartered in Irvine, California, seeks a Memory Care Director to lead the Traditions neighborhood with a whole-living approach to dementia care. The role ensures care plans, activities, and dining meet residents’ needs while collaborating with health services and culinary teams.

Responsibilities include staffing, safety, regulatory compliance, and delivering individualized care to maximize resident independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Prefer 2 years of experience with dementia.
• Prefer 1 year of supervisory/managerial experience.
• Bachelor’s or higher in Gerontology/psychology/sociology or related field or 3+ years in social services or residential care.
• Residential Care Facility for the Elderly administrator license may be required.
• Certifications in dementia care (CDP/CAC/CAE/CDCM/ Montessori Dementia Care) preferred.
• Ability to obtain/maintain CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler certifications.
• Criminal background check and health screening required, vaccination may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the Traditions memory care neighborhood.
• Ensure delivery of dementia care, activities, and culinary services meet care plans.
• Collaborate with culinary, health services, and activities teams to implement personalized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations (Title 22) and safety standards.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, motivate, and retain memory care staff.
• Coordinate staffing to meet resident needs and company policies.
