Job summary

Oakmont of Las Vegas is seeking a Memory Care Director to lead the Traditions neighborhood with a person-centered dementia care approach, partnering with residents to maximize independence and a dignified life.

The role requires supervising memory care staff, ensuring compliance with Title 22, coordinating activities, dining, and health services to develop personalized care plans that meet resident and family expectations.

Qualifications

• Prefer two years of experience working with persons with dementia.
• Prefer one year of experience supervising employees.
• BA/BS in Gerontology, psychology, sociology, or related field; or 3+ years in related setting.
• Able to obtain and maintain required certifications (CDP/CAC/CAE, etc.).
• Must pass background checks and health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Ensures compliance with state regulations (Title 22) for memory care.
• Maintains recruitment of memory care staff; interviews, hires, onboards, trains, and retains.
• Coordinates schedule to ensure adequate staffing per standards and resident needs.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, visitors, staff, and supervisors.
• Supports resident participation in activities and a dynamic daily program.
• Collaborates with Culinary team to meet resident nutrition needs and dining quality.
• Provides input to Health Services Director for memory care assessments and care plans.
• Coordinates with healthcare professionals to meet residents’ care needs.
