Job summary

Ovation Heartwood Preserve in Omaha, NE is seeking a compassionate Dining Room Supervisor to lead memory care dining services. You’ll supervise a 10+ person team, coordinate schedules, support daily dining operations, and work on the floor with residents to provide attentive, resident-centered service.

The ideal candidate brings experience in restaurant, hospitality, senior living, or memory care dining, strong leadership and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of food service experience, with 6–12 months in a supervisory or management role.
• High standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Maintain personal hygiene and appearance.
• Ability to interact well with residents and other departments.
• Learn to operate kitchen equipment.
• CPR/BLS certification must be kept current.
• Local Health Department Food Handlers card.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Train dining room servers and hosts on etiquette and service standards.
• Create work schedules, assign side-work, and manage shift coverage.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address disciplinary issues.
• Welcome new residents, assist with seating, ensure a warm dining atmosphere.
• Coordinate with healthcare and dietary teams on prescribed diets and allergies.
• Monitor meal attendance and alert Wellness/Concierge as needed.
• Handle resident complaints with tact and care.
• Plan daily table sections and service flow based on counts.
• Supervise service pacing and tray delivery for residents at home.
