Job summary

Ovation Heartwood in Omaha, NE is seeking a Lead Server to bridge dining services and resident care in a senior living community. You will supervise meal service, ensure high hospitality standards, and support dining staff while adapting to residents' dietary needs.

This full-time position requires knowledge of safety and sanitation, CPR/BLS, and a customer-focused, compassionate approach. You will coordinate with care staff and Dining Services Director to deliver a dignified, person-centered

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification required and maintained during employment.
• Current Food Handlers card issued by local Health Department.
• Friendly, attentive and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment and follow safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead dining room floor during meals, coordinate seating and delivery for timely service.
• Oversee table setups and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
• Assist in training new servers on standards, hospitality, and resident interaction.
• Collaborate with the Dining Services Director to adjust menus and communicate feedback.
• Maintain knowledge of dietary restrictions and preferences and support adaptive dining.
• Communicate with care staff to ensure appropriate resident assistance.
• Foster a person-centered environment, especially in memory care settings.
• Ensure compliance with health codes and sanitation standards during service.
• Monitor food temperatures and safe handling; manage cleaning and side-work.
• Dispose of food waste per established policies; perform other duties as assigned.
