Job summary

Villas of Holly Brook in Streator, IL is seeking a Dietary Cook for 30-40 hours weekly. You will prepare and cook meals in the community, follow established recipes, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen. Weekend shifts are required and attention to food safety is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of cook experience in hospitality or healthcare preferred.
• Food handlers permit as required by state law.
• Able to read and follow recipes and production guides.
• Weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food in the community according to standards.
• Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant style dining atmosphere.
• Maintain kitchen and food storage areas in a clean, safe, sanitary condition.
• Open and/or close the kitchen.
• Follow cleaning schedules and logs.
• Prepare meals according to established recipes and menus.
• Document temperatures of food prior to service and during storage.
• Assist with transportation and storage of food and supplies.
• Adhere to quality and food safety practices.
• Assist with special events, banquets, and theme meals.
• Attend pre-meal kitchen stand up.
• May perform other duties as needed.
