Job summary

Villas of Holly Brook in Washington, IL is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare and present meals in a community dining setting, following company recipes and safety standards. The role emphasizes quality, taste, and guest service in a warm memory-care environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of cook experience in hospitality or healthcare preferred.
• Food handlers permit as required by state law or company standards.
• Able to read and follow recipes, production guides, schedules and logs.
• Weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food in the community according to standards.
• Provide high level of customer service and a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
• Maintain kitchen and storage areas in a clean, safe, sanitary condition.
• Open and/or close the kitchen.
• Adhere to cleaning schedules as assigned.
• Ensure food is received, stored and prepared per standards.
• Prepare meals according to established recipes and menus.
• Document temperatures of food prior to service, refrigeration and freezing.
• Assist with transportation and storage of food and supplies.
• Adhere to quality and food safety practices.
• Assist with special events, banquets, and theme meals.
• Attend pre-meal stand-up in kitchen prior to meal service.
• May perform other duties as needed.
