Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living in La Crosse, WI seeks a Memory Care Caregiver to support residents with dementia through daily activities, meals, and assisted living tasks. You will document health changes, participate in care plans, and promote independence in a compassionate, person-centered environment.

This role involves assisting with ADLs, engaging residents in meaningful activities, and following safety and regulatory guidelines. An emphasis on respectful care and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Three to six months related experience preferred and/or training in direct service with older adults living with dementia

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and meals
• Document changes in residents' health and behavior and report to supervisor
• Participate in care planning and daily engagement activities to support independence
• May assist with medication distribution as allowed by state regulations and physician orders
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment and follow safety procedures
