Job summary

Magnolia Trails at East Lake in Tarpon Springs, FL is seeking a Memory Care Aide to provide compassionate resident care in a memory care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor residents, and communicate changes to the caregiving team.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, state nursing assistant certification or training, CPR/First Aid preferred, and prior experience in nursing or senior living. Training and ongoing education are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs caregiving duties in accordance with accepted standards of resident care.

• Assists residents with nutritional needs and dining, including substitutions when appropriate.
• Communicates effectively with residents, including those with dementia or sensory losses.
• Reports resident conditions and changes to the team at shift start and end.

Memory Care Aid Responsibilities:

• Performs caregiving duties in accordance with accepted standards of resident care. Duties may include measuring height and weight and vital signs.
• Performs assist duties in accordance with accepted standards of resident care. Duties may include assists with dressing, grooming, bathing, escorts and transfers.
• Assists residents with nutritional needs, including setting dining tables, serving meals, providing proper fluid requirements, and offering substitutions when appropriate.
• Communicates skillfully with residents, including those with sensory losses and/or dementia.
• Receives and gives report on residents' conditions and changes in conditions to other staff at the beginning and end of each shift.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• State certification/registration or graduation if from a state approved nursing assistant training program required.
• Preferred knowledge and experience in nursing or senior living.
• CPR certified and/or first aid certified preferred.
