Job summary
Atria Senior Living in Carrollton, TX, is seeking a Life Guidance Coordinator to lead recreational activities and life enrichment programs for residents. You will plan and implement engaging activities, coordinate birthday celebrations, and partner with staff to create meaningful daily experiences.
The role requires a background in activity programming, flexibility across shifts, and adherence to state regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or 1–2 years experience with adult population developing and implementing activities/training, or equivalent education/experience.
- Knowledge of recreational therapy methods and applying activity/leisure programming for residents with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.
- Certification(s) per current state regulations.
- Able to work various schedules and shifts.
- Leads Life Guidance programs and develops service plans.
Responsibilities
- Lead Life Guidance programs and develop service plans.
- Provide a broad range of recreational activities with adequate supervision.
- Involve Life Guidance staff in planning and daily programming.
- Plan resident birthday celebrations and seasonal activities.
- Assist in census-building initiatives and maintain activity records.
