Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Palm Desert, CA is seeking an Activities Coordinator to support Life Guidance programs for residents and help create a vibrant, caring community. You will plan and lead daily activities and special events, greet new residents, encourage participation, and coordinate with staff to meet individual needs and preferences.

Responsibilities include documenting participation, maintaining records, and assisting in census building initiatives while promoting a healthy work-life

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED; 1–2 years experience with adults in activity development/training.
• Knowledge of recreational therapy methods and their application to residents with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.
• State-required certifications based on current regulations.
• Ability to work varied schedules and shifts.
• Leads Life Guidance programs and develops service plans.
• Delivers diverse activities with supervision and engagement.
• Plans resident birthday celebrations and holiday programs.
• Supports census-building initiatives and maintains activity records.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead daily activities and events for residents.
• Greet new residents and engage them in activities.
• Maintain records of participation and activity outcomes as required by state law.
• Assist in planning parties, monthly celebrations, and seasonal decorations.
• Coordinate with Life Guidance staff and volunteers for program delivery.
• Support census-building initiatives within the community.
