Job summary

Atria Senior Living in San Juan Capistrano, CA, seeks a Life Guidance Activities Assistant to develop and lead recreational programs for residents. You will work across activities, plan celebrations, and help coordinate daily living activities, with a focus on enriching residents’ daily experiences.

Qualifications include a GED or high school diploma, 1–2 years’ experience with adults, and knowledge of therapeutic activity methods.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of recreational therapy methods and activities for residents with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.
• Ability to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
• Certification(s) required per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Life Guidance programs and develop service plans.
• Provide varied recreational activities with supervision.
• Engage Life Guidance staff in planning daily activities.
• Plan resident birthday celebrations and seasonal events.
• Maintain records of activities and participation as required by state law.
• Assist in enlisting volunteers to support activities.
