Job summary

Harbor House of Wheeling is seeking a Recreational Services Aide to join their team under the supervision of the Recreational Services Director. The role supports planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational programs aligned with each resident’s care plan.

Responsibilities include leading activities, assisting with outings, and maintaining positive communication with residents, families, and staff. The position emphasizes memory-care informed care and daily participation in life-enriching

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of prior experience in a relevant role.
• Experience in healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements activity programming as planned and assigned to meet residents' needs.
• Assists residents to and from activity programs and outings.
• Maintains good rapport with family members and encourages family support in programs.
• Provides input to the assessment and evaluation of residents' participation when requested.
• Communicates residents' concerns and responses to interventions to supervisor.
• Supports residents' individual needs, preferences, routines and choices.
• All other duties as assigned.
